I got that, I was replying to the person was was saying that that Mormons aren't Christian because of doctrine, and to me it's the same ridiculous argument RG3 is using against Catholics via political beliefs. They both believe in Jesus whether or not the descriptions agree.

To my knowledge there is no governing body that determines whether a religion is Christian enough to be called Christian, so it's seems to be a relative determination of the individual religions leadership. Certainly doesn't mean specific religions will all agree on who qualifies.

I'm sure they have, but as new Christian religions manifest, it seems convenient that those that have historically controlled doctrine (Catholic Church primarily) are also the same ones trying to exclude them. If it were just a theoretical argument then it shouldn't matter.
