We'll see where this one goes.
Small grey white guy of little consequence.
I see posts from time to time about people overhearing ap-driven first dates at other tables. I think that's happened for me once. What I get instead is gibbering middle-aged evangelical men yapping to someone about their talent for prophesy and hitting on all those triggering key words and phrases

Spelling Bee got me thinking that an outboard motor should be called a BOATIVATOR.

I'm just getting through the last few episodes, and may say that after Season 2, every episode of Killing Eve would be improved by... ironically removing all of the Eve scenes. I seriously can't figure a point to the character either logical or emotional.

Stranger Things 5: I've decided to believe that everything after they get stopped by the military and blow the upside down is a set of dreams. There's no way they would let go of everyone involved in the death of a bunch of soldiers and DEF not let Hop be a sheriff again. I smell a black site.

I hereby use this space in these final days of the world to declare my deep undying love for a well-made ponzu sauce.

Got Strange Weather @joe-hill.bsky.social on libro.fm and the first story reminds me greatly of The Sun Dog from @stephenking.bsky.social

It's not just the Polaroid aspect though clearly that echoes, but the magical aspect of photography itself and what it can capture beyond what we intend.

Super impressed with Welcome to Derry. I was a huge fan of Stephen King from my early teens. Adaptations have often been uneven and a well- loved story ends up unsatisfying. Not so with the latest IT films. And Welcome to Derry really expands the universe faithfully, connecting to the KEU

Okay, so what I don't understand about Pluribus is who's driving the bus so to speak. If they all have all the skills and knowledge then in the same way a 10yo can fly an Apache, no one should be duped by Carol. THEY have master negotiator skills, addiction counselor skills, psychology etc etc.

My newest insult to keep at the ready is to call someone a "plays OJO lookin ass". Now if only I interacted with people...

If you ask my job title, I struggle because I have so many jobs in one. So I say the one that takes most of my time or most of my effort, skill, and thought? Do I say the role that is most critical to the longevity of the company?

In the case of the latter, I'm the boss's emotional support animal.

If I ever meet a confederate flag type, first chance I get, I'll remind them that Boss Hogg was the law and order candidate.

A client with a very large multi- million dollar real estate portfolio that constantly pleads poverty yet never stops building got hacked last week. Lost a million on a targeted phone scam. So of course they're once again pleading poor and can't pay their suppliers, subcontractors, or consultants.

I'm sorry to have to tell you, but no amount of childish yelling over the din to flood people's hearing with "it's billet! It's billet!" will negate the fact that your shapeless custom car part looks like a BBQ grille or maybe an aluminum kennel door no matter what you paid for it.

Unpopular take perhaps: I love Mark Hamill, I do (not the controversial part), but all tension in Star Wars about Luke turning to the dark side dissolves when you realize that if he HAD, you'd know it instantly because he'd have started speaking like Cobra Commander. Lee as Dooku, Jones as Vader...

Despite the pathetic voter turnout numbers (suppressed by long lines etc from UCP scheming, but low nonetheless), I'm pleased to see a general rejection of party system politics in the municipal elections. #Albertavotes

"Well, I certainly like your terminology better than 'chode' but yes. Yes I do."

Yes. Yes this is the deep magic. Truth.
No good reason, I guess, just feeling a very generic kinda bummed today. Not sure how to fix it, but maybe a pizza will help.

Does everyone regularly find that their years have coalesced into crystalline shards at the corners of their eyes? It's normal, right? Rubbing your eyes feels like a knife fight? No? Just me? Oh, uh... okay cool.

If the government can celebrate scaring a critic off TV, the punchline writes itself — and it’s from 1933.

I do not care about the etymology of the word. Its origins will hold no sway when I rule the world and decree that "vermillion" is no longer a red, but a green BECAUSE IT SOUNDS GREEN. Vert (fr), verdant, verb (action/go/green light). It will thenceforth be a rich velvety green.
