We will be gathering in Astoria to demand an end to the disappearances. We will share resources to learn about how to get involved in local organizing and protect our neighbors against ICE!

Makers who want to help but only have time at weird hours… and maybe find traditional events too people-y… you can still help! I made this zine library cabinet for organizing events with @indivisiblequeens.bsky.social!!

A wooden cabinet with plexiglass front door; it has 4 internal shelves holding on the bottom shelf brochures in English, Arabic & Spanish on the bottom shelf re: Beyond Your Rights from newsanctuarynsc.org, on the next shelf a half page on ‘Men Impersonating ICE’, a quarter page on ‘Arms Embargo Now’ (held in place by a rock painted with the slogan ‘no justice, no peace’), and business cards in English & Spanish from NYCLU on ‘5 things to do if ICE stops you’; next shelf up is a zine of unclear title related to ICE, yellow bilingual ‘know your rights’ cards (English/Spanish) & English & Spanish quarter pagers advertising a ‘Stand Against ICE’ event on Sep 27 11am in Astoria, location TBA; top shelf is multilingual zines on Mass Deportation and also on voting.

Resistance comes in many forms!

Ours today was painting rocks to place around our neighborhood and leave positive messages to action. We also enjoyed a picnic and conversation/planning while we painted.
