He’s basing that assessment off a misunderstanding of the stakes and autonomy of Europe which is cynical.

Mark Rutte is not some supreme authority or military leader in Europe. He serves to moderate and coordinate nato. What he would prefer has no affect on what actually elected leaders in Europe would do in a Greenland invasion situation.

It’s the same type of stuff Russian liberals have been peddling for years now.

I think he wouldn’t if the trump presidency continues on its current path, but also don’t underestimate the disdain people in other states have for California’s “coastal elitism” and leadership in particular Newson.
