The F1 2025 season has come to a close in Abu Dhabi, and we crown a new World Champion. Congratulations to Lando Norris who snatched the crown off Max Verstappen, and congratulations to McLaren who, for the first time since 1998 (I believe) have won both the Drivers' and Constructors' crown. It's been an up-and-down year, where Oscar led for the majority of the season before a dip in form saw his lead slip away, a mid-season resurgence from Max, saw the title go down to the wire at the final race.

So one issue I'm having with the GT7 Power Pack events is the balance of the AI in relation to your 3 choices.

So far I've noticed that the AI is a mixed bag, with usually 1 or 2 AI fucking off into the distance like Forza's Unbeatable AI tend to do...

Thank you Sony for deciding that instead of placing the new DLC content for Gran Turismo 7 at the right of this screen, you instead place a microtransaction (of the exact amount that comes with the new DLC) that I mistakenly purchased and had to go through hoops to get a refund for.

Scummy tactic.
The home screen for Gran Turismo 7 on the PlayStation 5 dashboard. To the right is a window that reads "5,000,000 Paid Credits (Cr)." with a price of $39.99 (Canadian Dollars) down below. For context, the new DLC for Gran Turismo 7 (known as the 'Power Pack' and is exclusive to the PlayStation 5 version of GT7) comes with a 5,000,000 Credits bonus as an extra, which is what caused this confusion when I speedran the purchase without realizing until it was too late.

Damn, you sometimes forget that R4: Ridge Racer Type 4 looks fucking amazing. Upscaling the graphics to higher resolutions does the game even more justice.

And this was back in 1998, the height of the PS1! Namco really cooked when designing this game.

A cyan-and-yellow Lizard Bonfire being chased by a silver Assoluto Bisonte, driving dangerously through a long tunnel at night. The headlight light streaks from the Bisonte almost look like it's firing lasers at its target! An Assoluto Promessa driving through a winding city road with some buildings and construction cranes visible in the distance. The Promessa is a bit of a weird looking car with like a shark fin sticking out of the back, but maybe that's normal, I don't know diddly squat about cars. The same shark fin car with the Pac-Man PRC team colors being chased around the corner by an Âge Solo Prophetie wearing the salmon colors of the MMM (Micro Mouse Mappy) team. An actual proper screenshot of the game from the default camera angle, driving a white Âge Solo Prophetie through the Helter Skelter course, an urban area with a couple of large buildings in the distance and a cool little helicopter doing a flyby over you.

A red Assoluto Rondine (they're all fictitious cars inspired by real life models afaik) driving through a night tunnel at a Dutch angle. It's got a bit of an odd design with the entire upper front part of the car being sliced at an angle into its own separate part but it's not easily visible from this angle. Weird cars are neat! A line of cars vying for supremacy, driving through a wide cobblestone road at night, with a silver Lizard Comrade leading the race. The car has a couple of blue stripes going through the middle and the words "RT SOLVALOU" on the hood, a reference to the starship from the Xevious series. A yellow and red Terrazi Ambitious adorned with the decals of the Pac Racing Club (PRC) inspired by Pac-Man with a big number 76 on the doors and the Pac-Man himself! A distant wide shot of a white Âge Solo Prophetie driving through a curvy winding cliffside road. R4 is a beautiful game but shots like these can really make it shine!
