Come on guys, Vilnius/Kaunas and Ljubljana could definitely support a few lines

the rent per squaremeter in Vienna (first graph) rose much faster and is currently much higher than in austrias second largest city: Graz (second graph)

Both cities grew in the past ten years, but especially in the last few years Graz was more successful at building new supply

New data on Public transit funding in Vienna:

The Public transit company gets roughly a billion euros from the city and 200 million from Central government, but this is both for investment and operation

Fare box revenue is roughly 63% (485M € in subsidy), good considering cheap ticket prices

And here the explanation on why the car lanes wont change on a map, the current set up above and the future set up below
May 26, 2025 at 12:50 PM
Here it is on a map, the new bikelane in red, this stops having to go across the gürtel on the yellow existing lanes so you can keep going on the eastern side with no unnecessary crossings
May 26, 2025 at 12:50 PM
Lets gooooo

A gap in the gürtel bike route in Vienna at Westbahnhof will be finally closed in the next month

Car lanes will stay the same tho, because that road operated with a lane less because of a construction project (which is now close to done) anyways

The difference between greenery on a privately owned street (the one with tons of trees) and city owned streets (the gray ones) is honestly massive

With April data arriving we are on track for a growth of around 10-15k thousand people in 2025 in Vienna, which is almost half the growth of the past two years

This is almost certainly because since the end of the war in syria the number of syrians coming to Vienna has dropped significantly

A beautiful new almost finished apartment building in Vienna next to a tram line and S-Bahn station

Last Sunday wasnt just a City-wide election, but also 23 district elections happened, and not only austrian citizens, but also EU-Citizens are eligble to vote there

And it seems like the Greens absolutely dominated that EU-Vote getting 36,6% of it way ahead of the spö at 28,2%

There is Election analysis based on metro lines happening in Vienna

Here metro line U6 clearly shows that the green and fpö voters live in completely different parts of the city, greens in urban centre and fpö on the outskirts
April 29, 2025 at 12:30 PM
Okay we might actually have a change in district governments in Vienna the 5th district is extremely close and might switch from the social democrats to the greens

The only other one that isnt decided is the 6th one which might also switch from spö to greens, but less likely
