In his house when he died there was an elevator that he'd built himself for his wife, who was wheelchair bound. He cut the hole in the floorboard himself.
But he wasn't a writer, or a publisher. So where did the books come from? Who is Dorothea Pemberton?

Today is the day to tell a strange story.
The long version we'll tell later, but the short version is this. In an attic, in his late great-uncle's house, @jon.inkle.co found a locked trunk. It took twenty years to open. Last summer he did.
Inside was a wiring diagram, and a stack of books.

The new Heaven’s Vault novel hinges on a mysterious book in Ancient, The Raven’s Book, which Aliya finds and translates.
So, naturally, one of our beta readers has translated part one of that book back again, into Ancient.
