Hello, my lovely teabags!

Those who enjoy my artwork and streams may have noticed a recent scarcity. This is because I have embarked on a journey of healing from past traumas, changing unhealthy patterns, and strengthening my relationship with myself. I am deep in the trenches of learning self compassion and drawing healthy boundaries.

Instead of raking myself over the coals for not meeting my own unreasonable standards, I am reorienting what those standards should be. Rebuilding this interior foundation will allow me to more freely share my true self, as well as more fully realize my potential in a way that aligns with my values and goals. Intellectually I knew that process would be overwhelming in a variety of ways, but experiencing the reality is a different beast entirely. I'm extremely fortunate and grateful to have family and friends who are supportive and encouraging of this process.

What does this mean going forward? When I'm ready to return my livestreams will occur on a rogue/unscheduled basis, at least for the time being.

From the jump I thought of my streams as open studio hours, an invitation to co-work/body-double, because creating a space for that mindset helped my own focus and productivity.
I've been flattered and humbled that a small community formed around that practice. I'm writing this message in part to express gratitude for that support. Thank you.

In the meantime, my artwork has continued to be an important source of self reflection and catharsis. I feel gratified that my efforts to dust out the cobwebs in my mind has led to artistic growth as well. Someday I look forward to sharing some of the pieces I’ve created during this time, but not yet.
