I'm having to hide my likes from the woke mob!

Oh really? Your likes about taxes and regulation?

No not those.

Your likes about limited government?

No not those.

Which likes then?

Oh you know the ones.

AI as currently implemented is worse than awful, it's trivial. AI being contemptible doesn't negate the very idea of "intellectual property" is also trash and a weapon used by industry to gatekeep, fabricate scarcity and punish outsiders.

The newsletter economy is probably doomed anyway but at least don't make support racists and transphobes while on the way out the door.
I think I am just giving up on getting people to realize that, by committing their words and personal reputation to Substack's platform, they're enabling openly venal people to profit from their creativity and labor. I guess folks just really truly do not care.

I'll remind authors that buttondown.email is an excellent alternative to Substack. I've had nothing but great experiences with Buttondown's customer support.
