Which is that watching dysfunctional people on every side of the conflict trying to work together for their own goals is profoundly enlightening, depressing, and entertaining. Also, the thought of Amate absolutely dunking on Scirocco by the end of the series is both fitting and hilarious.

However, the premise for a potential GQX sequel is definitely resembling that of Zeta's - people fighting against totalitarian governments. I see the Psycho Gundam appearance to signify that the actual story beats are going to skipped over to focus on the core themes of that story.

Now with their street cred fully established to old time fans, I don't see how the team isn't just chomping at the opportunity to do their own take on that series. But that's just me - they could also just be content with a single cour since Tsurumaki's frentic pacing makes every second count.

GQX starts off after the original Gundam, and introduces people into the principles and familiar concepts that would be carried over through the entire franchise. It doesn't structurally resemble the stereotypical Gundam series though - that would be coming in from the definitive sequel Zeta Gundam.

I really do think that we're going to get another cour named after the real name of the GQX (to be revealed on EP12 most likely) solely because I do not believe the people who are this dedicated to the Gundam mythos are going to be satisfied with stopping chronologically before Zeta Gundam begins.

The pacing of this show is definitely Tsurumaki's signature, and quite honestly I honestly find it immaculate since we've all grown accustomed to having attention spans a week long. This is all very exciting since I think this show has been nailing the execution perfectly thus far.

At least Metroid Prime 4 is still looks great on the original Switch, and I hope to be snagging that before everything gets ridiculously expensive.

At the very least, the show's very first introduction to Machu would not be particularly meaningful if the show didn't go to the setting that Machu is describing in her opening monologue. A trip to Earth basically mandatory as to confront the reality that life sucks for most people in UC everwhere.

Bandai Namco would also be fine with making the show go on as long as possible, since it would give them a consistent source of revenue via merchandising while their internal teams are still catching up to what they've already committed to (Hathaway 2).

The show very clearly demonstrated that they thought through the ramifications of changing the UC timeline, including demonstrating what needs to happen in order for those changes to occur in the first place. I don't think they're going to be satisfied with just being the Gundam Fight Club show.

I also think that this is going to be a multi-cour series, although it might be 3 cours. This project has been in the works for years and I think it's been planned for 2 cours just in case the show doesn't take off. The recent sales numbers might encourage people to allocate more time to this.

Predicting that the White Devil is going to show up as the final clan-bat opponent to signify that the narrative is going past that initial premise. Of course, that nickname refers to someone different in this timeline, and that person could plausibly be in these battles given the circumstances.

I think the show's trying to be a modern interpretation of UC thematically rather than previous AUs that were just following story beats, and the most definitive way to drive that point across is to be explicitly set in UC.

Machu is a fantastic protagonist by virtue of being a proactive gremlin with "totally normal" priorities and decision-making, but she never feels like a cariacture since the show connects those characteristics to her relatable circumstances and her desire to escape it.

Gotta stop being so tense all the time and just say what's on my mind. Having compressed occipital nerves all the time just sucks.
