GQX 11 - I admit my expectations for this show were too high, and it took that ending to realize that this show got way too lost in the sauce. This episode generally was hard to watch, and the climatic moments felt satisfying or exciting.

GQX 9 review - I like how the themes of loving a false promise of freedom will deny you of your own agency. I see how people can disagree with how the show sacrificed Lalah's own agency to do it, but I can't really think of a more direct and obvious scenario to make that point.

Ever since Freedom, i've been slightly obsessed with mobile suits having an emblem/insignia placed on one of their shoulders.

Shiiko Sugai's Gelgoog doesn't disappoint, having a Witch themed emblem with the phrase "And Death Shall Have no Dominion", taken from Dylan Thomas poem of the same name.

i cant believe i never really noticed the personal emblem on shiiko's gelgoog until now... it's a cartoon witch and the words "and death shall have no dominion" referencing the dylan thomas poem. raw as hell

We're totally going to get an episode named "The White Devil" highlighting both Shuji and the Lightcannon.

The visceral reaction to the news that Switch 2 preorders are delayed due to the tariffs that wasn't present in other tariff announcements is demonstrable proof that "bread and circuses" remains an undefeated pillar of societal compliance.

GQX predictions - cour 1 is going to end with the Pomeranians on Earth under an area of jurisdiction controlled by Bask Om. The premise for cour 2 basically writes itself from there.

Now that I've watched GQuuuuuux, I have to say that this show really has something really special cooking here. The use of OYW was specifically directed for existing fans to get them to buy into this reimagined UC timeline, and the series proper can focus on a newcomer-friendly cast and scenario.

It's been exhausting having to come up with the words that accurately represent my thoughts in text, and spending more time on backspacing than actually writing. I need to embrace my ability to just say stuff in simpler words when talking, especially for the void that is social media.

My gaming 2025 predictions:
- F-Zero will be one of the launch titles for the Switch 2
- Fire Emblem 4 remake will be pushed alongside Metroid Prime 4 as crossgen Switch titles for the launch
- FromSoft reveals a followup DLC to AC6 in the TGAs named "Ashes of Gallipoli" set after the third ending.

Just finished watching Mob Psycho. There's nothing more hype than a conflict being resolved by understanding and acceptance when it's 100% earned though persistent, constant growth throughout the series in seemingly trivial and "ordinary" interactions and events.

Metaphor Re:fantazio is a great game that improves upon the moment-to-moment gameplay experiences from other Atlus titles but overpromises in its storytelling. The most significant improvement is the field combat by increasing the difficulty in gaining an advantage in the subsequent battle.

Don't create tests for the sake of verifying that the code works - create tests so that you can remember what it's supposed to be doing. Documentation is great and all, but it's never going to force you to update it whenever something changes quite like a test failure would.

i think - maybe in an equally naive way - the fact we are all here together sharing these experiences is evidence that there is a better world that is possible. it might not necessarily be easy to get there, but i’m confident we can make it
despite the world becoming scary i still have a perhaps niave but unwaivering belief that a better world is possible

On this day in 1999, 25 years ago, Pokémon Gold & Silver were first released.

These games started the second generation and had you travel through Johto to defeat Gyms and defeat Team Rocket before heading back to Kanto!

Easier to convince people to switch by letting them experience the improvements first hand rather than telling them about the virtues of the product.
Appreciate this may not be a universally popular opinion but the less you treat BlueSky as a crusade or cause, and the more you position it as simply a superior user experience with a better governance approach, the more sustainable the growth will be.

The most impactful game that I've played this year has to be 1000xResist. It blends contemporary history and science fiction into a very personal story about generational trauma featuring a memorable cast of flawed characters. I haven't played anything quite like it before or since.

Sony's handling of Crunchyroll, Funimation, and RightStuf post-acquisition inspires negative confidence in how monumentally they can and will further fuck up the anime, manga, film, book publishing, gaming, etc. industries if they successfully acquire Kadokawa.

One thing I want to share after spending so much time studying modeling and practicing it, is you are all actually beautiful if you believe it. It sounds super corny, but it’s absolutely true.

You’re beautiful and if you don’t believe it, you need to love yourself more.

I would like to speak up today for the trans community.

You see, I know a bit of what it’s like to be politically scapegoated. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, suddenly anyone in America who had any amount of Japanese ancestry became suspect. Politicians preyed upon ignorance and fear. /1
