As we bring in the New Year today, I have some bittersweet news to share...Today will be my last day working on Bluesky as a part of the core team.
The past two years that I have been here have been an absolute blast and undoubtedly will be a few of the most memorable of my life...1/x

detectors for llms don’t work because you’re pasting text that could have been written by you with your keyboard. the classifiers here are trained on things like the artifacts that diffusion models leave behind which you would not leave behind if you made the video

with this said, it’s probably a hell of an evening to be looking at polymarket
now if further detailed reporting comes out, maybe. but degenerate gamblers still don’t do things based on a single news article. not things that move markets at least.

sure, but my point is that these particular sanctions are so outlandish to the point that both sides are extremely likely to refrain/prevent them, that imo there’s no reason for that market to move atm

tbh it’s extremely, extremely unclear how sanctions as described in the telegraph article would do anything but severely harm the european economy (the impact on companies and government from what is described is immense) and is probably why no one is taking it as anything

if you're willing to finetune maybe. my experience though with base models for moderation tasks isn't super great

i used it for a toy labeler once and it worked fine honestly. but these days id try using gpt-safeguard for the same thing

on the other hand, the problem i have is that now my entire for you feed is about ai which is counter to what i want lol. solving the "people contain multitudes" problem is definitely difficult

i think its definitely possible at the very least that folks that have reactivated/stopped by for a glance found the feed, used it, then said "oh! so this discussion is here!"
