As we bring in the New Year today, I have some bittersweet news to share...Today will be my last day working on Bluesky as a part of the core team.

The past two years that I have been here have been an absolute blast and undoubtedly will be a few of the most memorable of my life...1/x

shoutout to the bluesky team for running this site during probably the strangest times to run such a site

with this said, it’s probably a hell of an evening to be looking at polymarket
now if further detailed reporting comes out, maybe. but degenerate gamblers still don’t do things based on a single news article. not things that move markets at least.

fwiw, i think if you're doing any sort of doing any sort of interviewing atm you should be approaching llm use in preparation for those interviews as a soundboard for your thought process, practice ideas, etc.

40% of Bluesky have been contestants on Jeopardy making us a very smart website but all of them came in third so its not like that impressive

not going to QT any of this whole slopware watchlist discourse, but pretty depressing that is the sort of behavior people are resorting to instead of just, like, choosing to use or not use software. could have just been a "tools that don't use AI for development" list instead

It finally happened. @pfrazee.com yelled at Kit while I was on the call. And I was thoroughly confused.

As a person who does believe capable AI risks are real, it’s frustrating to see the community not exactly behaving responsibly. If you can’t find it in yourself to say or do something about a literal, present, AI harm (Grok being used for abuse) what is the point of you

“Tailwind solves problems in frontend software development or it wouldn’t exist” is apparently now defense of the patriarchy. ok

i had a dream last night that my PDS was lost because it was running on a disposable vape that had a battery malfunction and caught fire. because the vape hardware was weak backups were disabled so i lost my data.

note that it was also a vape i was using, so it was a dual purpose vape.

Not getting everything you wanted to get done is one of the worst feelings in a day, but at least you get to try again tomorrow 🙏

imagine saying “we are going to build a protocol that lets people build interoperable social media applications” then three years later being stuck still on discourse about how curvy isabelle the dog is
man how are we still talking about isabelle 😭
