Jack Thorn & Stephen Graham produce as close to tv perfection as you could hope for as radicalisation, toxic masculinity, violent misogyny & parental guilt are dissected through four taut, tense, technically astounding one-shot episodes in what is one of the most important shows in years (2/2)
December 31, 2025 at 10:49 AM
Ok here we go then folks. Behold! The number one pick on my TOP 20 TV SHOWS OF 2025 is (insert drumroll)…

1. ADOLESCENCE (Netflix)
A true masterclass in televisual storytelling, #Adolescence isn’t a show that can be easily forgotten (1/2)
December 31, 2025 at 10:49 AM
Creator Jack Rooke should be immensely proud of what he’s managed to achieve with a show that, over three seasons, grew to become one of the best comedies this country has produced in years, with one of the cleverest, most painfully beautiful final episodes I’ve seen in quite some time (3/3)
December 31, 2025 at 10:40 AM
The third and final season of Channel 4’s semi-autobiographical coming-of-age comedy is a spot-on blend of laughs, heart, and tears and the perfect send off for a show that has tragically flown under the radar (2/3)
December 31, 2025 at 10:40 AM
And the runner up on my TOP 20 TV SHOWS OF 2025 is…

2. BIG BOYS S3 (Channel 4)
It feels like we really do need to talk about entering Big Boys into the best British sitcoms of the last decade conversation (1/3)
