I think it's good advice to start applying about a year before they expect to graduate. It's been 6 months since I've graduated, and the job market definitely seems slower than how I've heard others describe it in the past. Hiring decisions always seem to take a while in the field either way, though

I had somebody ask if they could shine a UV light on me when they found out I was vaccinated because they'd heard it made you sparkle 💖. This still might be crazier

One of these had snuck into our house recently in the southern US. Pretty sure we got it before it bit any of us while we were sleeping, but I did not sleep well for awhile.
