Bangin' my head against some mad bugger's wall.
Pinned
I have an eclectic library of music that I accumulated over the years through many chaotic phases of my life. I like some of my music more than others, for sure. I thought it might be fun, from time to time, to choose a random album from my library and rate it.

People need to stop reacting to every little thing Trump posts. He blasts this stuff out in order for it to become white noise. Stay focused on what really matters.

Boston - Boston
While I recognize Boston's talent, they kind of hurt my ears in ways I don't quite understand.

I honestly had no idea it was that easy to rename Geographic Locations. The next Democrat President:

It is stupid, no doubt. But this really is the least of our concerns. This is what Trump does. He knows this is a cat-nip for the media outrage machine, and it creates a white noise background while he is actually pissing all over our founding documents.
Insane how quickly the racist regression is happening in this country. Decades of progress being undone in weeks, without even any laws having to be passed. Just sheer intimidation from Trump and the right, and sheer cowardice from the corporations.

I have been a bit surprised by this, as well.
It’s surprising how little the “President Elon Musk” stuff seems to be bothering Trump.

OK. #Severance is officially one of the best shows ever.

The laziest, weakest style of argumentation is "incredulity". It is not an argument that says anything other than your lack of imagination.

Homeowner's insurance is a scam. It needs to be regulated in a similar sense as health insurance.

One of the best shows to come out for a very long time.😍
Severance is extraordinary for its originality and depth, especially for something completely original, not based on a novel or preexisting story. Deserves all the praise it’s getting.

Somebody needs to explain "The hard problem of consciousness" to me like I was a 5-year-old. I have read, listened to, and watched everything I can on the subject, and I just don't get it.

Not at all crackpot, imo. Modern life can feel like a constant struggle against uncaring systems enormously larger than any individual, which very naturally contributes to a sense of powerlessness. Ultimately not a stable basis for a democratic society.
I have a crackpot theory that the inaccessibility of customer service for all goods and services is contributing significantly to the general sense of alienation and impotence and lack of community.
just when i seem to have figured out a way around the labyrinthine cvs phone tree, they seem to have switched it to voicemail only. absolute evil

W.A.S.P. Crimson Idol.
Actually a pretty good album, but the fact that I actually forgot I owned it says something about how often I listen to it.

Leonard Cohen - Songs from a Room
I am a sucker for the dead-pan understated voice carrying the personal weighty lyrics, and nobody does it better than Cohen (well maybe maybe John Cale).

I wonder if Trump realizes that if he made Canada the 51st State, he would add a state with the population of California that would almost certainly be liberal leaning. that would mean giving the democrats another reliable 52ish electoral votes.

On a good day I might put this at 5 stars. Bauhaus and its Members are such an interesting cast of characters that spun out such an interesting diversity of Music. This is one of my favs.

Both the left and the right are trending more anti-liberal. The only reason one can say there is no equivalency is because MAGA has consumed an entire major political party. The far left is still on the fringes, except in social media where their voices can be amplified.

#DexterOriginalSin is not a great show. There are some elements that harken back to the original. But two elements make it really bad:
