Okay, I'll make a thread of 50 indie games which I'll add to over the week, staring with.

1. Carimara

Play as a little goblin creature summoned by a witch to investigate what's haunting her cottage, it's a creepy bite-size mystery akin to the Frog Detective games, and has gorgeous visuals.

2. Caput Mortum

Extremely creepy little horror puzzle game where the idea is you control the player character's hand to interact with the environment and solve puzzles, and once you get used to the weird control scheme, it's utterly fascinating. Very neat game that flew under the radar.
Caput Mortum on Steam
Travel back to 16th-century France and delve into the mysterious depths of a seemingly abandoned alchemist's tower. Do you dare brave the horrors that beckon you below... deeper still?

6. Guns of Fury

The rather generic sounding name doesn't key you in on what an absolute blast this game is, it's basically "What if Metal Slug/Contra, but Metroidvania?!" and has some phenomenal pixelart, but my goodness the music is really great. Give it a go, it's immensely fun!

My game of the year for 2024, it's just utterly brilliant, a genius game. Part dungeon crawler, part cursed typing tutor, like Mavis Beacon teaches necromancer. Play it and the Cryptmaster is gonna delight you with every wry, sardonic fully voiced line.

Short but brilliant little 3D platformer, the movement mechanics are fantastic, it gets surprisingly challenging, and the music is real good. Definitely worth picking up if you'd like a nice bite-size platformer that's fun even just to move around in.

You play as a pig farmer who doesn't want to work for the mob any more. It's a short game, you can easily finish it in an evening, but it's incredibly tightly paced and I've compared it before to a Coen Brothers movie.
