It's 2015. President Barack Obama has accepted a "sky palace" jumbo jet from the Qatari government, which he'll own after he leaves office. "Everybody relax," he says in an interview with the New York Times. Everyone does. The networks then televise the military parade in his honor on his birthday.

A resource for you when you encounter who is adamant that there are only two sexes. Human biology is more complicated than that, and that’s an actual fact, not dogma.

Trump says there are ‘two sexes.’ Experts and science say it’s not binary.
The president’s executive order signaled an intention to narrowly define the sexes, but experts say he is oversimplifying the intricate nature of human biology.

The National Museum of African American Culture and History tells some of the history that most Americans have not been taught. We need to remember and promote that history in defiance of those who want to (further) whitewash it. If you can, visit this museum SOON!

Americans are not as fragile as President Trump seems to believe. They can survive the hard lessons about this country. Even as they rejoice in the victories.

Records show how DOGE planned Trump’s DEI purge — and who gets fired next
A DOGE team plans to fire federal workers who are not in DEI roles and employees in offices that protect equal rights, internal documents show.

America used to act as a benevolent superpower, advocating for democracy and human rights, and trying to be noble. We’re giving up that role so that a minority of us can be the biggest, richest, most self-aggrandizing assholes on the planet.

I guess you better start teaching your kids Mandarin…

"[For the Right], D.E.I...is the mere presence of a woman or nonwhite person or disabled or transgender person in any high-skilled, high-status position. And their alternative isn’t some heretofore unknown standard of merit; it is the reintroduction of something like segregation."

Opinion | Trump’s War on D.E.I. Is Really a War on Civil Rights
The genius of the right-wing crusade against D.E.I. is that the term is amorphous enough that it can mean many different things to many different people.

The more nuanced truth about who pays for tariffs. Like so many technical things in life, the correct answer is “it depends”.

Who pays for Trump’s tariffs? Depends on the product and the country.
Which nation ultimately bears the cost of a tariff depends on what that country makes and its pull in the global market.

I agree 100% with this assessment. Our constitutional republic is collapsing, with the aid of a supine Congress. Half of our Congress wants to win by any means necessary (including destroying our democracy), the other half is just know coming to the realization that they may actually have to do
Opinion | The Constitution is collapsing. A lack of character is to blame.
The Founders would not have envisioned a Congress so supine in the face of Trump’s barrage.
