レアアースが対象になるかどうか不透明な状況自体が極めて効果的なんだよね。企業の判断に不確実性が持ち込まれることで圧力として機能する一方、レアアースを制裁手段として行使しない状況が実現できる。基本的に、レアアースの供給量を通した圧力はさほど積極的に行使してこないと個人的には思っている。レアアースによるサプライチェーン主権の制裁的な行使は、制裁として強すぎる手段で、中国自身にも、他国の脱中国依存を進めさせる可能性があるなどデメリットもある。そのへんは米中摩擦を通じて中国は学習済みだろうと思うので、そんな積極的には使ってこないとわたしは思っている。やるとしてもデュアルユース規制の範囲内なんでは。

純粋に経済的に見れば、ベネズエラの石油はたいした規模ではなく、石油が生む利益はあくまでベネズエラの安定を前提とした長期的なインフラ再建計画を前提としてしか大きな意味をもたないもので、現状投資計画の見通しも立たない状態。そんな中で、こういう動きをするのは、「米国の利益として石油資源を手に入れた」という成果と暫定政権の米国への服従を、政治的・象徴的にアピールする意図が強いのだと思う。

New: I looked into this. Mercy Culture Church seems to have paid $3,100,000 for this house across the street from SCOTUS. According to D.C. tax records, they own the house outright, although I've reached out to ask for clarification.

そもそもCSAMは最も深刻な事例であるだけで、他人の画像を勝手に改変すること自体が著作権侵害であり、画像改変機能自体を停止させなければXがEUなどの規制枠組みをクリアしたとは言えない状況だろうと思います。ていうか米国でもダメだと思うんだけど。
