My grandmother was a young pregnant Jewish woman alone on a train in Poland during WWII when a German soldier told her to get off at the next stop because there wouldn't be any soldiers waiting at the station. She survived because, in that moment, a soldier chose the right thing over obeying orders.

Since it needs to be said: states' #Medicaid reimbursement rates to hospitals don't vary by eligibility group, the applicable federal matching rate or if it's for emergency Medicaid. Like within Medicare & private insurance, Medicaid rates will only vary based on patients' diagnosis/severity.

If the rabble rouser is a man, then there is a good chance the hospital is reimbursed less for the pregnant woman because procedure codes for women's reproductive health services are often lower than for comparable male services...but I don't think that's what he means

Feel free to attribute the following to a former OMB General Counsel: The supposed "new legal analysis" is, to use a technical legal term, horseshit. What the law actually says is that when Congress enacts a law ending a lapse, furloughed employees get paid at the earliest date possible. Period.

My daughter, 6th grade, just read us a draft letter she wrote for a school assignment to recommend an improvement to a local public service. Her letter advocates for a special program within the school system for kids with headaches & other chronic pain. Proud and heart aching at the same time.

Miller knows that these are not terrorists and terror networks. He also knows that we handed over incredible power to federal law enforcement because of the terror created on 9/11. Even though this is an illegitimate use of that power, he's betting Roberts' SCOTUS will give another pass to Trump.

The issue before is now is very simple and clear. There is a large and growing movement of leftwing terrorism in this country. It is well organized and funded. And it is shielded by far-left Democrat judges, prosecutors and attorneys general. The only remedy is to use legitimate state power to dismantle terrorism and terror networks.
