When I was a kid my father taught me to chew into and crack open chicken bones to suck out the marrow and I gotta say it’s one of my favorite parts of destroying a Costco Roti bird every couple weeks

Data indicates that dogs are considerably MORE likely to eat their owners after they die than cats are.

I like to periodically remind people of this

we spent thousands of years breeding dogs to like humans and collaborate with us - we have more of a “begrudging standoff between equals” thing going on with pigs

However to be fair dogs eat humans way more than most people know or want to know

It really is a shame that mean intact male goats taste AWFUL.

I’m still thinking about how squirrels apparently evolved to have essentially detachable tails, a bit like lizards

I hold that once you know how poorly attached a goose’s head is to its neck, it is hard to be frightened of them. Getting them to piss off is very much about body language and it’s not hard if they haven’t intimidated you first.

Chickens if large enough would 100% eat us.

i have met a number of pigs, including pigs i later went on to eat (we have small farmers in our family) and quite frankly, getting to know pigs has made me feel even less bad about eating them

they would 100% eat us if given the chance

it’s best not to ever think about mushrooms too much
amagire.bsky.social
if you only want to eat things that don't feel love or pain I recommend sticking to fruits. maybe beans and corn. mushrooms, I'm never really sure about

Me theory is that it’s the pineapple and ham combo that people don’t like, pineapple and pepperoni SLAPS. With some spicy banana peppers too? So good.

I am a fan of pepperoni, pineapple, and jalapeño pizza, and I will never feel shame about this.

I've gotten some shit for liking pepperoni and pineapple

Nah they don’t do that by default if the animal otherwise seems behaviorally normal (or so I’ve heard)

He will tho.

Do you know how many drugs I've done? Any animal that eats me will trip RAINBOW BOUNCY BALLZ for days.

An important part of the wisdom that comes with middle age is nailing great nachos. I’ve got “Moroccan” nachos pretty well nailed: chips; a mix of gruyere, white cheddar, and Monterey Jack; canellini beans; lamb merguez with red onion; pico de gallo salsa; green olives, and dabs of harissa paste.
