It was a joy to find a month into middle school that the elementary school sent a draft of an old 504 plan instead of the plan it took over a year to get for our kid.

And she still can't bring in beverages w/ electrolytes she needs. All the kids have to bring empty bottles & fill them inside.

And this apple cakelette pan — also on sale — is begging me to start a new Rosh Hashanah baking tradition

Ooh...it's on sale now. I guess I'm getting a new cake pan.

Oh, my. I saw the original production in London during my semester abroad and am now realizing I likely saw a lot of my now favorite actors on stage that semester.

I'm listening to the Behind the Bastards podcast series about Peter Thiel and his beliefs regarding the Antichrist. It is definitely worth a listen.

Makary saying "the era of patronizing women is over" is one of the most infuriating aspects of this because it is clear to me that the intent is not to improve women's health, but to get public support for a process that they will use to limit gender affirming care, abortion & birth control

I expect that this same round table process will be used to put black box warnings — counter to the medical evidence — on gender affirming hormone therapy, medication abortion & some forms of birth control.

For sure. The difference between doing the national analysis by state and if one did a NY based state analysis by county would have those names on the opposite side of the political spectrum.

This guess the writer makes is very wrong:

"many Democratic-leaning states include large cities with sizable Jewish populations."

His own maps for Chaya & Yosef show the names are only truly common in NY & NJ.

And NY has many orthodox communities outside of cities.

That half a paragraph about the Hebrew names that never uses the word Hebrew & doesn't mention that the orthodox Jewish community is much more republican leaning than the US Jewish population as a whole is quite something
