We move on
from our unicorns,
the ones that get away,
but they are never
fully gone,
they are there still,
roaming in the grassy fields
of our souls.

Some shit that isn't as strange as you think
~Molly Burford
—Laughing at something no one else finds funny. Finding the perfect retort to an argument that happened seven years ago. Remembering something as far more beautiful than it actually was.

I believe in pink.
I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong.
I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day, and I believe in miracles.

Poem for your Sunday
~ Franz Wright, in God's Silence
— Walking home, for a moment
you almost believe you could start again.

Caturday #caturday
My sweetest cat nephew, Leo, was a rescue kitty during the pandemic. I used to hold him on my chest in my coat to keep him warm. He was found hiding in a box, definitely not thriving.
He still loves boxes and is doing well.
Named after Leopold's ice cream in Savannah, Ga.

Watch carefully,
the magic that occurs,
when you give a person,
just enough comfort,
to be themselves.
