Some shit that isn't as strange as you think

—Laughing at something no one else finds funny. Finding the perfect retort to an argument that happened seven years ago. Remembering something as far more beautiful than it actually was.
Some shit that isn't as strange as you think Missing someone but not wanting them back in your life. Wishing you were someone else from time to time. Wondering what happens when we die (and then immediately freaking the fuck out about the fact that we do, in fact, die one day). Forgetting what you were saying in the middle of speaking. Forgetting what you needed when you walked into your room. Forgetting who you are now and then, too. Tripping on air. Still feeling 17 at 31. Still feeling the urge to call someone who has been passed on for many, many years. Still feeling utterly alone even though you're surrounded by people who adore you. Laughing at something no one else finds funny. Finding the perfect retort to an argument that happened seven years ago. Remembering something as far more beautiful than it actually was. Trying to fix the past even though it will always be out of your reach. Having a crying bathroom at the office. Having a mini meltdown because your purse caught a door handle when you were trying to leave your apartment. Having emotions that feel far too big for the bones you were given.
