The way I see this going, the court agrees w/ the kids that it burdens political communication by restricting where it can take place.

The court agrees with gov that it's towards legitimate ends and doesn't negatively effect democracy.

The real question is if the court agrees re: necessity.

Extremely poor answer from Malaka, "we aren't banning the internet".

No, you're restricting where political communication can occur.

Little support for lowering the voting age as means of democratic reform, but support for longer parliamentary terms, MP term limits, more referenda and citizen assemblies high.

Support for compulsory voting is decreasing, ppl also say they would have been less likely to vote if voluntary. Which sounds like a disaster.

% in favour of becoming a republic back on the increase. Up to 56% from 2022's 54% which was up from 2019's 49%(only time in AES recording history <50%)

Major parties first preference share continues to decline, and Millennials continue becoming less conservative as they age. GenZ has a slightly higher Lib vote, but the strongest Lab/Green first preferences (less likely to vote from other micro parties than Millennials)

Trust in government not looking too good, regardless of political affiliation.

Non-partisanship continues to increase, despite a slight uptick of partisanship by Lab voters.

A majority of ppl finding Potatohead to be uninspiring, untrustworthy, dishonest, not competent and lacking compassion.

The 20 year decline of ppl voting based on party leader reversed, largely caused by Lab voters.

Pessimism about the state of the economy in a year's time declining.

Opinions on nuke power were mixed with 38% supporting and 37% opposing it. Largely divided along party lines.

Lab beating Libs on every single issue (including economic management for the first time since AES has been recording views on it) except national security.

Likewise, where group efficacy is a pathway to normative, collective actions. It is lack of group efficacy and belief that the group is incapable of making meaningful change through conventional means, which predicts participation in more radical forms of collective action.

A thought process clearly seen in comments by radical, climate action groups such as Blockade Australia.

or contravene social norms (Tausch et al 2011).

The difference between these 2 affective states is, anger seeks to get perpetrators of injustice to modify their behaviour, in situations where there is a perceived ability to change the perpetrator's actions.Contempt arises out of previous instances

For affective injustice, emotions such as anger and contempt are the strongest predictors. Anger for normative, collective actions such as protests, voting intentions, petitions (Tausch et al 2011)

And contempt for radical forms of collective actions i.e those that are illegal, destructive/violent
