Trying something I've done before with analog and digital layered together. This is the first watercolor/colored pencil layers on a 20x20"/50x50cm cradled wood panel that will be an abstract representation of Tatooine.

In July I was given this gift. A 3D printed Canti from FLCL.
I broke it before it got home. And while I started repairs almost immediately, it kept getting forgotten. Now, finally back together AND painted, it'll live in this tray I use for burning incense.

I don't have the words to explain how cathartic it has been to finally get this whole thing up and working and to spill noise out from this cobbled together system to fill this room.

2 years almost since my dad died. Finally unpacking what I shipped back, including my old belongings that got stuck in Virginia during the pandemic. Trimming down and even getting rid of things I hadn't the heart to dispose of before.
But this? This says too much to let go of.
