Gangle most likely had some form of bipolar disorder. She probably felt like her mood wasn't in her control and was just a mask everyone saw. The ribbon symbolising how she felt hollow.

Kinger was likely the creator or a programmer of the circus, hence his royal appearance, the chess piece specifically could refer to how he was a very intelligent person

Zooble probably had gender dysphoria and personality issues, leading to them being a jumbled mix of parts
