Teacher. Music fan (CD, vinyl). Politics (left leaning/re-joiner/anti-Tory, anti-Farage, anti-Trump). Taking a second chance to make a first impression.
Green fans in my replies calling me an idiot and a warmonger for suggesting Polanski may be sounding a touch naive here, despite my acknowledging that he's not as dim as this makes him sound. These guys certainly live down to my day to day experience of Green supporters from when I lived in Brighton

It's nothing to do with smart, though is it? You can be very smart, as Zack clearly is, yet make pronouncements that sound naive and dumb, as this did, simply by failing to explain how to breach the gulf between the world as we would like it to be, and the way it actually exists today.

I was there in 2003 and can assure you you're wrong. I was against UK joining Us Iraq effort because there was no evidence basis for it, even despite the fact it would clearly have gone ahead anywhere. I'm not against Zack's Greens but can't support them, partly because he is not a serious figure.

I always think it would be nice to meet Zack, if he should ever happen to accidentally wander into the real world

Saw a folk band play this in a tiny bar with a tuba player, marching band drum and the singer shouting into a megaphone. It's one of the best things I've seen in live music

It's led me back to Days Like These, probably the single most startling musical moment of this decade so far for me. So thank you for that ♥️

Absolutely brilliant song. Since Mimi died so much of their music brings me to the brink of tears, and this is one of the prime culprits. Her voice is so wonderful and to hear it so harshly broken and clipped, and given how terrible she must have felt at the time it was recorded, it's hard to take.
