Isabelle, we were honoured to have you and Jo join us in what was an outstanding presentation on your work with the Tasmania Police. Grt way to close Day 1 of the symposium here in Toronto (and to get a start on your day in Hobart). Thanks once again and see you in Ottawa for #LEPH2025 in July.
Thank you @cska-canada.bsky.social for having me and my colleague Commander Joanna Stolp from Tasmania Police contribute to the research symposium on Trauma-Informed Practice. It was an honour to talk about our work from the antipodes. #traumainformed #policing @utas.edu.au

Excited about the work that our team is doing on #bail, #police and #police prosecutors. Emma Colvin (CSU) and I have just submitted a draft article on our analysis of the police prosecutors' decision making process to grant or refuse bail to vulnerable people. Very much looking forward to feedback.

Yesterday, a colleague & I submitted a draft chapter that we wrote JUST FOR FUN. How cool is this? It's about finding new communities to sustain well-being, mental health & resilience within and outside the workplace. The chapter is for an upcoming book edited by @rellypops.bsky.social & colleagues

Completely agree!
Academics often think of ethics as an obstacle. I think of it as a tool to work through the technicalities of fieldwork. Once embraced, it's a fairly straightforward process. Delighted that our PhD student Rosie Martin (@amandalneil.bsky.social) received ethics approval with no request for change.

Also, in last weekend's news, I tested positive for COVID for the very first time.

Zero 'flu-like' symptom, nothing except for loss of taste and smell (I actually only tested because something I knew was quite flavoursome did not taste like what it should).

Really???
