It's been 12 days since CTA should have released a new Slow Zone map. Still not a peep.

It's wild to think that the CTA could solve the reliability and safety crises - or even the malformed rail that causes the slow zones - when they can't even post a map on time.

We need vehicle sound cameras and we need our police and sherrifs to enforce laws against intentionally loud exhaust. For those of us that live off Lakeshore Drive, Western, Wacker and other large roads this is a constant problem. It's an easy problem to fix, other cities have, and we should too.

CTA slow zones are an absolute scourge. I took the Red Line; between Fullerton and Belmont it slowed to a crawl. So I looked up the slow zone map. Sure enough: Slow zone. Boston eliminated all of it's subway's slow zones. We can too.

The Riverwalk is one of the great pleasures of living in downtown Chicago. It's an incredible place to go on a stroll. If we want to revitalize the Loop, we need more space like it! People need to want to go downtown and building more spaces like the Riverwalk is how we get there.

True! Low and middle-income families in Cook County are being priced out of living here.

I'm running for County Board to make it easier to add housing stock to the market, especially in unincorporated Cook County. We need ADUs and 4-flats by right and reform to our byzantine zoning regime.
The rising cost of building starter and single-family homes has priced millions of Americans out of renting or owning a home. I introduced the ABODE Act to demolish barriers to housing affordability and incentivize builders to construct modern homes that meet our nation’s needs.

Saw this on my morning walk today:

Repair work being done to the State St. Bridge -
>Welder working from a cherry-picker
>On a barge
>Anchored under the bridge by cables

I love seeing this kind of creative problem solving put to work on public projects!
