Pues sí que ha habido cambios en la lista... En 2023 estaba en la posición 71647 y ahora en la 79035 aunque tengo dos puntos más de h-index y casi el doble de citas. ¿Os habéis puesto las pilas con vuestros perfiles de Google Scholar para ser indizados o qué?

One in every 212 flights involved a medical emergency, according to an international study of in-flight medical events from Jan. 2022 to Dec. 2023, led by Duke Health; 8% of patients were taken to the hospital after landing and 1.7% of the medical events were serious enough to divert the plane.

Good point. Academia's love affair with journal status, which is at the root of its reluctance to embrace open access alternatives to the for-profit journals, facilitates the spread of misinformation.

Hard for truth to get its boots on when the boots are locked behind a paywall.

In general I think it's hard to combat scientific misinformation when some of the best research is locked behind an academic paywall, while lots of nonsense gets published free for everyone to read in predatory journals.

A lot of people think that every international student admitted means one fewer spot for domestic students, when the opposite is more likely true - the tuition revenue international students bring allows public universities to provide substantial discounts to domestic students, improving access.

Cuando empezamos hace más de 6 ó 7 años solo había 40 000 perfiles, hoy mas de 139 000, unos cuantos con ORCID añadido a mano (Google se resiste a crear un campo)

Un ejemplo de cómo la desinformación es un problema de falta de profesionalidad a muchos niveles es un libro que he visto en una librería que da información falsa sobre las vacunas. Ese libro tiene un autor, pero también es editado por alguien y es vendido por la librería.
