Anyway, once I got over me righteous indignation (FIFTEEN. YEARS), he referred me to a physio to walk me through an exercise plan and occupational therapy to figure out some support for my janky hands, so that’s all good

Also I don’t have rheumatoid arthritis, so today’s a win-win! (I do have an antibody marker and other factors that puts me at higher risk of developing it so we’re just going to shelve that in a quiet corner and not look at it so long as it behaves itself)

And then this BEAUTIFUL MAN who is examining me for an ENTIRELY DIFFERENT THING takes one look at my ridiculously pointed toes and concave hands and goes ‘well why isn’t this diagnosis on your file?’

Fifteen! Years! I’ve been saying to various doctors! That I think my issue stem from mild hypermobility! FIFTEEN YEARS

I keep looking at the headlines and all I can hear is my mother grumbling about the importance of teaching children that ‘no’ is a full sentence 💀
