Wasn’t there also a massive and totally unexpected sink-hole opened up nearby, too, as a result of past construction? I once heard Frank Magazine ages ago call Ottawa “a city that looks like it has given up.” I moved away from there almost 20 years ago but still see the same issues being flagged

OC Transpo, forever falling short of fulfilling the “transpo”. As a former Orleans resident having to make his way to the west end daily, the interconnectedness of the buses was always a gamble, never mind the service you would receive once you got on the bus. Miserable, unreliable experience.

Got chased on the beach by a Canada Goose when I was a kid and managed to escape physical harm but what really terrified me was the noise it was making and the all-out animal determination to attack. Not traits you would otherwise associate with graceful and elegant birds.
