Okay so I wrote a whole essay about why I chose Malta as inspo for TDBSaS but in summation: an attempt to connect to culture, an homage to family, and it's a setting I've never seen utilized.

It doesn't need to be based in Australia if they're accepting international subs, I suppose. I don't have any further details atm but the impression I received was that they're keen on publishing their work, and open to any route that ends up working out.
