Auschwitz was at the end of a long process. It did not start from gas chambers.

This hatred was gradually developed by humans. From ideas, words, stereotypes & prejudice through legal exclusion, dehumanization & escalating violence... to systematic and industrial murder.

Auschwitz took time.

At my advanced age, I have been bitten by the night sky photography bug and the camping bug at the same time. My first capture attempt from a week ago at the Kissimmee Prairie Preserve, a dark-sky preserve here in FL, on the night of the new moon. Not the greatest, but I'm constantly learning.

Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park. One of my happy places. May she remain forever a place of beauty and not sold out to be another ugly ass development. I have less confidence about that these days.
