Late-stage capitalism at work. Their wealth is almost exclusively tied up in the stock of the businesses they own / founded / are part of. Capitalism itself is ultimately the reason for this wealth disparity.

There's something so rewarding about watching someone continue to make the same mistakes over and over again when you know fine well they can break the cycle but are too bone-headed and stubborn to do so. Karma, I guess.
