Trump’s actual approval ratings…
Line graph with data from gelliottmorris.com showing Trump’s approval ratings from February 2025 to July 2025. During that time, his approval has fallen to -10.9 points overall. That is -6.3 on Immigration, -16.4 on trade, nearly -15 on jobs and the economy, and -22 points on inflation/cost of living.

We disagree on your definition of “persecution.” Many Christians have a victimization fetish, but even that is over the top.

80% of white evangelicals supported Trump in 2024.

At some point, the “not all Christians” line needs to be revised to say “a minority of Christians aren’t bad.”

No one can answer those questions. I acknowledge that someone can have valid points and reasonable arguments regardless of their faith or lack thereof.

The difference between me and a theist is that I don’t accept mysticism, supposition, and conjecture simply because ignorance is uncomfortable.

Opinion | Yes, I voted for Trump three times, but I gave Obama $250 in 2008 and have a gay client at my brokerage. Treat me as the independent-minded voter that I am.

As an atheist, no, I really don’t know the difference.

To quote Gandhi, “I like your Christ, I do not like your Christians. Your Christians are so unlike your Christ.”

He did? In 2020 and 2024, Conway voted for Trump?

This is why the “tHiS iSn’T wHaT i VoTeD fOr” ppl are so infuriating.

Yes, you voted for it. He told you what he wanted to do and you still voted for him.

In many ways, though, Trump benefited from the guardrailing done by his 1st administration. Ppl assumed, wrongly, that they’d be there again.

“Cash said he perceived a real threat to the voting process. ‘I think there’s a 50-50 chance we will never vote again in free and fair elections,’ he said. ‘I’m really scared.’”

The country is facing the gravest threat to its constitutional democracy since the Civil War. That was the assessment of the current political situation from former national security official Steven Cash ’84, who spoke with students.

“Kennedy denigrated CDC staff as corrupt and repeated conspiracy theories…We will not soon forget the heartbreaking calls we received from CDC employees, expressing how scared and betrayed they felt for simply doing their jobs to serve the American people.”

Excellent letter. Better late than never.

100% it’s Schumer.

Last thing we need in the Senate is yet another octogenarian who’s tone-deaf when it comes to the working class and Gen Z issues.

I don’t think they spend any time on self-reflection. I think they do what gives them a feeling of power and control. We’ve seen this before, many times…

“Soldaten” by Neitzel tells one story of Berlin police officers who were entertainers, and they were sent to entertain troops in Nov 1942.

They asked a commander if they could “take a turn” shooting Jews in an upcoming execution. Their request was approved and they murdered people for fun.

One thing that comes through awfully clearly in these ICE videos is how many of these goons gravitated toward the job because being able to assault people with impunity is a big thrill for them.

Hadn’t heard from Don Jr in a while.

Let me guess, the ship that was carrying his coke got blown up by the U.S. Military, and now we’ve gotta hear his withdrawal rage.

If only Congress exercised some authority over the executive branch, maybe the Trump admin would stop giving Congress the middle finger.
