I just spent the last week in Singapore, and I’m terrible at posting while I am away, especially during work trips.

Life is experiential, so I take the little time I get to go out, enjoy, feel, taste and see.

We made it to Aaraamam Restaurant, but decided to leave. Indeed the food sounded good but what we wanted was not on the lunch menu—and we were here for lunch!

I would rather save the experience for what I want vs settle.

Still 10/10 for the fried fish temptation tray.

Bread, as it should be, served as a snack, an amuse bouche, as a side, but definitely-repeat, definitely, not as a course during a tasting menu.

A refreshing seabass aguachile from the restaurant girl and the goose in downtown Dubai. The scattering of dried black olives over the raw seabass gave a lovely rounded depth to the dish that was then lifted and refreshed by the cucumber aguachile, and a scoop of jalapeño sorbet.

I found myself near Girl & The Goose by chef Gabriela Chamorro-a former supper club turned fully-fledged restaurant in the Anantara Downtown.

Girl & the Goose is a Mesoamerican focusing on chef Gabriela Chamorro’s vision of Central American cuisine.
