My favourite food is Apple Pie. My go-to food-related app is Mealime. I recently scored 155 in ten-pin bowling.
Mine was this morning: I spotted a kingfisher just as it caught and ate a fish in the corner of one of the pools along the “Cheddar Yeo” as the main flow thunders down Cheddar Gorge as my wife and I were walking back from a lovely late-morning breakfast in a café there. Three satisfied bellies!

What’s to stop Reeves from upping it from 3p per mile to 6p before it actually kicks in? Do you trust her not to do that? I don’t.

I still remember EXACTLY where I was when I heard he’d died. I can’t even say that about our actual queen.

Tim apologised for the double-slash in web addresses (I agree is wasn’t necessary but it’s never bothered me). Based on the article he might also have had to apologise for the annoying dash in “data-bases”! I’m glad that didn’t get adopted by the wider industry.

(On opening the curtains) several seagulls, crows, starlings, pigeons and a couple of goldfinches (I think), all heading in different directions, like they all knew they needed to be somewhere, just didn’t know where “somewhere” was. I get that sometimes too 😁

For me, the march to push AI into literally everything and the immense power-hungry data centres that is bringing, plus the mega-rich private jetting every trip is pissing on any effort I could make to be eco-friendly. I’m not naturally a pessimist but on this issue it’s where I am.

Backups are only “too expensive” until you need them. Or, in other words, backups are NEVER too expensive if you have a business to run or files that are important to you.
