Ever thought about the role of memes in political violence? Neither did I until Martin Lundqvist came up with the amazing idea! Open access and filled with digital archiving, flags, and Liam Neeson.

I think that the International, regional and internal-Israeli dynamics will not allow the Israeli government to return to hostilities. But at the moment that's all we can count on - the "dynamics". There seem to be no clear mechanism to prevent that.

Whenever public opinion and international pressure becomes unignorable, offer a token concession that will diffuse momentum and act as a fig leaf, while maintaining the mass death and expulsion. It’s a playbook.

Israel said Friday that it will allow other countries to drop aid from the air into the Gaza Strip, where children have died of malnutrition and nearly one in three people is coping with food insecurity, according to the UN's World Food Program.

Skeptics of the Gaza genocide say: “If Israel wanted mass killing, it wouldn’t do it by shooting at food lines here and there.” But that logic ignores history. Humanitarian aid has long been weaponized — even as a key tool of genocidal warfare. A thread. 🧵
