I am from 31 and the boundaries here feel just about right. Duluth feels familiar to me in a way that eg Grand Rapids doesn’t.

This is the most accurate depiction of the Midwest to date. Wichita has always felt like the last Midwest city while also being the first plains city.

I wonder if the trads have ever talked to any actual 1950s housewives. My grandma had five kids in the 50s and 60s, disposable diapers only being available for the last couple.

She could not understand why we were even CONSIDERING cloth diapers. And after two months we knew that she was right.

Groceries this AM noticeably more expensive than they were a month ago. You can still do ok at Costco (for now?) but a regular chain grocery store, forget about it. $6.50 for a single box of Triscuits, things of that nature.
