Our bison herds are glad that the snow is melting, and fresh greens are available for grazing. We think of bison (Bos bison bison) as western animals, but they were abundant in the Bluegrass prior to settlement. Indeed, the first bison recorded by settlers was in what is now downtown Washington DC.

At the current prices, if I bought feeder steers today, fed them out, by August they wouldn't turn a profit at the same sale barn. These prices can't hold, not sure what's going to give first.

McDonalds picking up this fight wasn't in my 2025 Bingo.
