Correspondence

Meaning : Threads

#Tamajeq : šinəlwa

#Tadaksahak : išignan

#Tetserret : šignan
izmarasan.bsky.social
Note: Ekel of Tetserret can also mean country, region, area...ect
izmarasan.bsky.social
Correspondence

Meaning : earth , soil

#Tamajeq : amaḍal

#Tetserret : ekel

* In tamajeq the word Akal is often used to designate a locality ,country , area, region.. rather than earth or soil
izmarasan.bsky.social
Correspondence

Meaning : i want so much

#Tamajeq : əkne tara

#Tadaksahak : aɣahinjin baaɣa

#Tetserret : ǝsiskarǝk anara

What is interesting is that the three verb aknu/hinjin/səskər mean the same thing 'to repaire' and they can be used to intensify the meaning of a verbal noun
izmarasan.bsky.social
In Tetserret : tǝmaṛi
In Tadaksahak : tamaṛi
In Ghadames: tumarši

Unfortunately not attested in Tamajeq which has ažwal/ašwal/ahwal.

But if it was attested it would be tamurẓi because of the -š in Ghadames ?

One may wonder if Arak is a kind of metathesis of Agar or a completely different word ?
izmarasan.bsky.social
Correspondence

Meaning : Bad person , offender

#Tamajeq : Arkawedan

#Tadaksahak : Agarbora

#Tetserret : Agarfagan

Interesting that tadaksahak and tetserret have the same element Agar for 'bad'. Agar is also the most common form in other Amazigh languages.
The Tamajeq form is mysterious
izmarasan.bsky.social
Correspondence

Meaning : Friend

#Tamajeq : amidi

#Tamacheq : amidi

#Tamaheq : amidi

#Tetserret : ǝmǝddǝkel

Apart in Tuareg the root DKL is the most used in other Amazigh languages to designate a friend even if the root DW ( > Amidi) is also pan-amazigh
izmarasan.bsky.social
Correspondence

Meaning : Personnally i don't know

#Tamajeq : nak za wǝr ǝssena

#Tadaksahak : aɣay za aɣsǝbay

#Tetserret : nik za wǝr ǝssanǝk

The particul za (so ,about...) in tadaksahak and tetserret is certainly borrowed from Tamajeq because tamacheq has 'ša' .
Very frequent in speech !
izmarasan.bsky.social
The answer generally is :

#Tamajeq : Alxer ɣas

#Tadaksahak : Alxer je

#Tetserret : Alxer ɣas

Literally : Peace only
izmarasan.bsky.social
Correspondence

Meaning : How are you ?
Literally : What are your informations

#Tamajeq : Məni isalan-nawan

#Tadaksahak : Mana andin-isalan

#Tetserret : Mənkat nəšfaš-ənnetən

some incoherent thoughts about Numidian BNS.

in funerary inscriptions in the eastern script (the one we can read), the term BNS appears about 228 times, making it the most frequent word in the corpus.

The literature normally interprets it as BN-S "his/her stone" with the Amazigh 3S suffix -s.

'To chew'

#Tamajeq : iffaẓ

#Tetserret : ibbaṣ

#Tadaksahak : yibbəṣ

The majority of Amazigh languages have FẒ like Tamajeq.
The shift ff>bb in tetserret and tadaksahak is maybe an influence of songhay

The names of liquid often have a plural form in Tetserret and Tadaksahak

#Tetserret :
aman = water
ədammən = blood
mantašan = urine

#Tadaksahak :
aryen = water
kuden = blood
hangaren = urine

But this is less frequent in Tamajeq in where outside aman (water) the others have singular form

We don't know the meaning of the name of Tetserret language. But it's seems that's it's not from a group name like the case of Tagdal and tadaksahak and even Tamajeq (related to Imajighan) .
Or at least its name does not correspond to the names of the groups who speak it today .

Strange case !
izmarasan.bsky.social
What happened here ?

In many case the qq of tamajeq correspondent to ww in tetserret

iqqan - iwwon ( attacher)
iqqur - iwwar ( être sec)

Or maybe the tetserret amaṛ is not from *amaqqar but something like *amaɣar ?

I think the tetserret is built like that :

tan = that one
-ənk = our ( < *nagh)
-ad = that
