My yard panther gave me a blep for the trail cameras last evening.
A large black tomcat "bleps" for the camera. He's sitting over a bowl of food outdoors in my garden, in front of a large white decorative garden folly, some bushes, and a log. You can see that one of his eyes is smaller than the other; this is how I tell him from the other black cats that come through my yard at times.

Hahaha! I got the orchids all safely in yesterday! DO YOUR WORST FROST.

Oh, shoot, I better get that other tropical plant in, yikes.
A bamboo rod adorned with small patio lights holds four hanging baskets, each containing an orchid plant. They're strappy and stiff-leaved plants with their own ideas about everything.

But the president himself agitates and irritates ME. Do I get to make him stop talking now? That'd be very nice.

*blink*blink* What, another teleprompter issue. I can handle it many people say I can't but I have no problems with the stairs, you know they say don't do those stairs fast, there's no race. No race, they say. But I say let race be part of what our very smart, so smart DHS secretary is doing.

I think I love the dilute versions of cat colors most of all. (Although all kitties are beautiful.)

My mom volunteers with a local charity shop, sorting donated clothes. Stuff comes in having been washed with "Unstoppables" fragrance boosters and they have to sometimes stop everything, take items home home, and re-wash them because the intensity is throat-choking. 🙄

I think it's either because scent builds memories and brand loyalty or because these products don't get the stink out of clothes and cover it up instead

I keep thinking of someone visiting from, oh, maybe Botswana or Estonia, wandering our store aisles and thinking, "What DO Americans do to their clothing that they need this much fragrance?!"

Pritzker should just activate the Illinois Guard with the only task to swarm the Texas dorks at a 3:1 ratio. Ensure every Illinois patrol has like a ridiculously senior person with it to just fuck up E4s’ days with general military authority fuck-fuck games.

It goes to my suspicions that all this blathering on by this administration about being "Christian" really means "one very specific form of Christian and no other kinds are ok."

But this sort of nationalism has ever been thus.

Those of us who live on the Great Lakes would be happy to never, ever hear that song again...

That being said, never get on a boat on the Great Lakes in November.

Wow such flames. Very fire. Much war zone.

It's going to take people dying *in numbers* due to a terrible, terrible mistake or hallucination used by someone in leadership or responsible for others' lives, believing what the AI told them... or a Butlerian J!had.

These two sparkling water brands used to be the same price. Trump take simple pleasures, too.
A store shelf with Pellegrino water and Saratoga water side by side. The green Pellegrino water is priced at $2.89; it used to be $1.99, like the Saratoga water in blue bottles to the right. Saratoga is bottled in the US; Pelegrino is bottled in Italy.

Scary. Hope everyone got out okay. 😱

Was about to knock off for the day when husband reminded me that it's supposed to be 42°F tonight, so I guess I'm doing the Great Transfer right this minute.

Ugh. As usual, doing it in a hurry & without enough time to truly make sure all the bugs are dead first. When will I plan ahead?

This is really, really good. Well worth your time. It's also funny and poignant. @racephoto.bsky.social Further to our recent discussions elsewhere about AI.

I can already feel the pull, the "are there any notifications there?!" pull.

Leaving my account active until I sell off a few things that I just can't shift via Craigslist and I'm out. Again.

Finally dealing w/ the fact that Meta reactivated my FB account shortly after I deactivated it last year.

Deleted all notifications, attended to the piled-up DMs w/ a copy-pasta "please reach me another way from now on" and pinned a post that I'm permanently not around.

At one point, we owned a Japanese car built in the US and an American car built in Canada.

3/4 ChryCo vans we owned were built in Canada. All three of our Panthers were, too.😂
