@edusky.bsky.social @chatchemistry.bsky.social I have a vague memory of ages ago on edutwitter, someone making a spreadsheet of good science hinterland linked to curriculum. Can anyone remember that and happen to know who made it/where I could find it?

I am almost positive this was the case for me (Canadian born and early childhood vaccinations were done there on a one MMR dose schedule). When I found out I called my GP and it couldn't have been easier. I said "I think I've only had one" and they booked me in for a 2nd. Easy peasy, more vacciney
If you were born between 1970-1990 you may not have full MMR protection, even if you had parents who took you for all your jabs. The NHS will give you a free booster. With cases surging, this is a great way to protect yourself & your community. I’m getting mine tomorrow www.nhs.uk/vaccinations...

We used a welding helmet and pinhole projector to view the eclipse. The welding helmet gave more impressive results (it was even better by eye than with the camera) but the science teacher in me likes the DIY projector and the physics behind it

@chatbiology.bsky.social @edusky.bsky.social Awhile ago, on the other app, I saw an amazing modelling activity for protein synthesis. I can't remember who shared it, but they shared a link that I bookmarked. However, I've deleted my account and lost it. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

My child just asked me to FaceTime his Dad (away for the weekend). Turns out he wanted to ask permission to play a game. Apparently that sort of decision is above my pay grade.

I have a 6 yo who is a very able reader. He will blast through most things for his age (he got two Beast quest books yesterday and he's read them both). Does anyone have any recommendations of books that are going to be the right reading level but not overly grown up in content? @edusky.bsky.social

🚨Mundane post alert🚨 Any teachers with experience with mini whiteboard pencils? Are they any good? Is their longevity better than most MWB pens. I love MWBs but the constant pens running out gets on my nerves! #mwb #edusky @edusky.bsky.social @chatbiology.bsky.social @adamboxereducation.bsky.social

@schoolreadinglist.bsky.social Have any teachers been (or had colleagues who were) magistrates? My kids are a bit on the young side now so my holidays are pretty busy, but I was thinking once they're a bit older... Could a magistrate rota be scheduled to fit into school holidays?
