I’ve had absolute amazing luck with my orchids this year. They keep blooming!! All except this one. It hadn’t bloomed in so long that I had forgotten what color it was. BEHOLD! Pink speckles are my favorite and I’m over the moon that it turned out to be that.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

Normally I try to let people love what they love. But why on earth is the Star Wars fandom so incredibly toxic? Has this been studied? Wtf happened? Why are they like this? I don’t remember it being this way before the prequels but I was an isolated child so maybe it was?

Getting all up in your feelings about Disney/Lucasfilm saying "NO" to another Star Wars "Somehow, [A Guy] returned!" storyline because the hypothetical actor/director are good in other things is why none of this deserves to get any better than it is, gang.

Maybe I’m just being a cranky old lady but I’m not a fan of most new Star Wars things. I enjoyed The Clone Wars & Rebels immensely. Loved Rogue One. Andor is brilliant so far (not caught up) but that’s about it. I don’t want bad stories filling up my memories of previously well written characters.

Saw a Reylo on here saying they didn’t understand why Finn fans hate them so much. Felt like I might have hallucinated all the shit they threw at Finn and REAL LIFE PERSON John Boyega. So I did a quick little search. Not surprising that fan was being willfully ignorant. It’s all there.

I remember talking about the immigration issue with my conservative brother over a decade ago. He was very confident that it wasn’t a him problem because he’s not one of Them. I tried to explain that racists don’t see the difference between Us and Them. The crime is being brown. It always has been.
