I just rewatched SHATTERED GLASS (and reread the article, which being by Buzz Bissinger is great) and it's really a portrayal of a very specific moment - that brief period when people didn't realize that the internet let everyone factcheck, but before rampant shamelessness.
Honestly the combination of the alleged source betrayals and secret recordings and the way this has rolled out has just fundamentally fucked us all in a way that’s bigger than the Stephen Glass scandal by a significant margin, and I think everyone is grappling with that in real time

(also I'm pretty sure "ZOOTOPIA 2" makes it canon that at least one main character is a straightforward actual racist according to the rules of its own universe and nobody *really* seems to think this is noteworthy or a big problem which is objectively hilarious)

Yeah I'm posting a review as soon as able (backed up with some work/family stuff) but I'd say Part 2 is about as strong as the first - I can joke about the allegorical stuff but they're both still A LOT smarter about this kind of material than you expect a cartoon about animal cops to be.

Oh yeah, no - I think they're both solidly good movies. It's just also very amusing that they STARTED (somewhat infamously) from what would've been a horrible "What were you *thinking* with this!?" racism-metaphor story, workshopped it into a decent story but now still have keep sanding off...

I feel like "We should deliberately let harm come to people so they'll learn a lesson and do better" is both bad politics and also not necessarily as distinct from Senate Democrat leadership thinking as OP considers it to be, is the thing...
What apparently everyone except Senate Democrats understands is that the survival of Democrats, perhaps literally, depends on Trump hitting Ceaușescu levels of unpopularity.
This goal is not helped if Senate Democrats do anything at all to reduce the harm Trump is inflicting on the American people.

Dumb-dumbs chasing that dollar. That said, it is kind of wild that twenty-three official Oz books, including the fourteen written by L. Frank Baum, are in the public domain, and no one's really taking advantage of that. They struggle to get past Wizard.

Remember your favorite creator possibly might be struggling with imposter syndrome and doubt and this timeline sucks.. so if you find yourself thinking “wow I really relate to this persons work” or that persons work gives you joy, you should probably tell them. It’s a hard time to be a creative.
