I think it's also worth noting that Trump is actually legit aware of what's going on in specials and that the GOP is getting creamed and is distinctly worried about spending his last two years in office getting impeached non stop

The Pitt got greenlit for a season 3, out next February, and the announcement has very funny comment from HBO chairman Casey Bloys that’s like “yeah, turns out if you just make a TV show like how we used to make TV shows you can have a 15+ episode season every year 🤷♂️”

and i imagine that this is better for cast and crew who get something closer to a regular paycheck and more chances to grow creatively

This ("EVERYBODY WANTS SOME") was one of my favorite movies the year it came out and definitely holds up. Ultra-underrated Linklater, a genuine showcase of "guys who blew up right after" and an all-time "no plot all vibes" hangout movie. Maybe the most honest laudatory "bros" snapshot ever.
Rewatching Everybody Wants Some!! a film I have a lot of affection for because a) it's a good movie and b) I first watched it with my housemates and one guy had come in 10 minutes late. When it ended he was like "That was class, is the next episode out?"
