10000% my motivation to transition was straight up seeing the happiness someone else in a group chat had living as a trans woman, like "wait you can just do that????"

Had wind in my sails about wanting to see if the local PSL chapter was worth volunteering, and that went away fast when the response to anything regarding queer/trans issues in the face of scary state legislation seemed mute and there seemed to be nobody trans in the group chat but me

Half agree and half disagree tbh, really depends on the living situation. There are a lot of places in the US where it is not a stretch to say you will bot be represented at all by your locals if you fall outside of a certain demo + the good candidates never move past primaries
