Yup, I’m a bit on guard and wary, even though I’m sure that 95% of dogs are just fine. I remember, for some odd reason, a discussion from a college Philosophy class… The old prof said that fear triggers an onset of adrenaline… and that dogs can smell/detect the adrenaline. He said, “Think love.”😆

I still remember the incident. 3 of my 4 siblings have been dog owners, e.g., at times, 2-dog owners. None of those dogs were particularly “cuddly” types, IMO. One of my brother’s dogs actually bit off the tip of one of his fingers when he tried intervening during a dog fight.

I only observe dog parks (from a safe distance), which is appropriate for a non-dog person. Less so today, but probably for years, I had this fear (not huge, but not esp. minor) of particularly large dogs, stemming from my childhood experience of having been chased and bitten by a dog.

Let me make this perfectly clear. Portland, my city, is under NO threat. There is maybe a couple dozen people at the ICE building & today they were there doing the electric slide.
We don’t need or want troops, and all that’s going to happen if they come is someone is going to get hurt.
