The nytimes (big department store of journalism) has itself favored the drama of Trump’s spectacle politics in its editorial choices. They have not provided a sound counter-weight to influencer irrationality unfortunately.

Reagan demonizing Black Americans as welfare queens was not remotely decent.
Reagan wasn’t that different from Trump: a bigot with dementia from the entertainment industry who had no regard for the law.
