Queer, transit enthusiast, software engineer, complexity scientist, anarchist as in feed the world. He/Him.
This ignores all the moral issues of the strongest country can bomb whoever for oil theory, but we get like 75% of those with the "US led" approach anyway.

The point is that even if you thought "US does whatever it wants" was a good outcome it's not a real option. It's a mirage.

I logged on right before going to sleep thinking (foolishly) "it's the middle of the night and there weren't any major news events today, I'll just check the timeline, I'm sure it's real chill"

Adding that this particular flag also has the benefit of getting around the pardon power

The black on yellow color has so much nostalgia for me.

It looks bad but it's what a bunch of "serious" gamers ~10 years older than me had so it carried cred. Enough that I recently paid good money for a vintage zocchihedron in that color since for some reason they don't make dice that ugly anymore

My brother made almost this exact remark after seeing Bugonia

Oh, that's bleaker than I was imagining (although it'd fit the bill).

I was just thinking interstellar travel is impossible because any species that starts developing the tech causes Kessler syndrome before they get out into the universe.

At least it'd give us a nice tidy answer to the Fermi paradox

Should this be about the ICC? I support ICJ jurisdiction as well but probably less helpful getting around the pardons/immunity issue than the ICC. Plus security council can veto ICJ enforcement iirc so not much of a practical check on an admin choosing to violate international law

If you didn't want to spend much time on it why lead with it & discuss for 5 posts. I appreciate a lot of the thoughtful things you discuss on here but every time you bring up anarchists you go from thoughtful public academic to replacement level op-ed whinging.

As if we needed more motivation to do that.

The cost of college makes it hard enough to uphold standards. Failing someone stops being about the class when there's a real chance it means they can't afford to finish school.

This behavior from admin further undermines an already struggling system.

Woah! I recognize that pie!

What a misleading way to summarize this article. Xenophobes trying to drive out foreign students have no interest in "reducing reliance" they don't care if they're depriving colleges of a resource they rely on

Also the headline sucks, article says new enrollments are down 17%
